Come & Sing Half-Term Fun

Published 7 November 2024

Thank you to all the children and their families who attended one of our three LYC family Come & Sing events during October half term in Harrow, Tottenham and Edgware. These LYC Experience events are a brilliant way for us to connect with local communities to deliver excellent and enjoyable intergenerational singing workshops.

Our brilliant music teams taught ‘Patake!’ a song which was just in time for Diwali, alongside fun, fruit-related warm ups! It is always wonderful to see all generations singing together: grandparents with grandchildren, toddling siblings, Dads and Mums and school friends meeting during the holidays. Some current LYC members came along and were brilliant ambassadors for their choirs telling all the children about the amazing experiences they’ve had singing with LYC. Watch out for more coming to your local area in February half term, 2025!

This session was fab, just the right amount of participation and no pressure which made it feel comfortable and accessible.” – Theresa, parent

It was the second time that we attended the free come and sing with LYC. It was very enjoyable and they always learn something new. They sing the song they learned at home. The teacher was amazing and very inspiring.” – Katarzyna, parent

Both the kids really enjoyed it and you did a great job making sure even the littlest ones were included.” – Joanna, parent
