LYC Family Come & Sing – Sutton
If you enjoy singing, even if you don’t have any experience of being in a choir, London Youth Choirs (LYC) invites you, your parents/guardians, siblings, wider family and friends to join us for a FREE Family Come & Sing event in SUTTON!
The songs we will learn together are most suitable for children aged 6-11yrs old but younger siblings are welcome when they are accompanied by their grown-ups.
ALL children must be accompanied by an adult of 18yrs+ at all times (this is NOT a drop-off session).

When and where is the Come & Sing day?
10:30am-12:00pm, Thursday 19 February 2026.
The free singing workshop will take place at: Wilson’s School, Mollison Drive, Wallington, SM6 9JW
Who is it for, who can take part?
The workshop is open to anyone in school years 3-6 (ages 6-11) and their families – siblings, adult guardians, parents, grandparents. Adults must accompany ALL children and are responsible for them on the day.
What will the singing workshop be like?
The workshop will be friendly and welcoming – no experience of singing is necessary! There will be warm-up activities, fun songs to try out and you’ll also get to meet other children from your area. If you enjoy the workshop and would like to join one of our LYC choirs, there will be information on the day on how to join and we will be in touch after the session and available if you have any questions. There will be a break with FREE soft drinks, fruit and biscuits.
Is there any charge? Do I need to bring anything?
The workshop is completely FREE OF CHARGE and you don’t need to bring anything special along with you.
Illness
If you or your child(ren) are taken ill the day before the event, including high temperature, vomiting or a persistent cough, please do not attend and inform us by phone or text message.

ACCESSIBILITY
Entrance/Exit: step-free access via ramp at an alternative entrance. There is step-free level access throughout all areas but please inform us when you sign up in advance if you need step free access for anyone attending and we will send you the relevant information.
Toilets: Wilson’s School offers both standard and accessible toilet facilities, located on the ground floor.
Transport: The nearest main line stations are Wallington (15-20 mins walk) or Waddon (10-15 mins walk). Nearest bus stops are on Mollison Drive (Stop K or Stop N), Buses: S4, 154 and 157. See the TFL step-free tube guide. There is a car park available at the school.
