A free ‘experience London Youth Choirs’ afternoon for young people aged 6-11 to find out what LYC is like and help them to prepare for an audition.

LYC is holding a free ‘Experience London Youth Choirs’ workshop designed for young people aged 6-11 who have never experienced LYC before, to show you what a LYC rehearsal is like and help you to prepare for an audition. As well as lots of singing, fun warm ups and energetic games, the session will include tips on preparing for a LYC audition and how to build confidence in your singing.

When and where is the event?

The free singing workshop will take place at
Westminster City School, 55 Palace Street, Victoria,
London SW1E 5HJ
Who is it for, who can take part?
The workshop is for children aged 6 to 11 years old who have never done any activities with LYC before, never joined a choir and may be new to singing and choirs, to show you what LYC is like and help you to prepare for an audition.
What will the event be like?
As well as lots of singing, fun warm ups and some movement, the session will include tips on preparing for an audition and building your self-confidence through singing.
Is there any charge, do I need to bring anything?
The workshop is completely FREE OF CHARGE and you don’t need to bring anything special along with you.

Additional Notes:
Please note this will be a drop-off session and there are no arrangements for parents/guardians/carers to stay during the workshop but there will be an opportunity to watch a performance at the end of the day. Please see the form.
All LYC staff members are safeguarding trained and have current enhanced DBS certification.
The number of spaces available will be limited so please book soon!
