For many individuals, our rehearsals are the only place where they have a dedicated pastoral support network and someone to talk to.

We have two dedicated Senior Pastoral Carers, Emily Sanders and Katherine Adams, who are trainee pediatric nurses and have a wealth of pastoral experience as well as being experienced musicians themselves.  They work closely with our Operations Manager, Bethan Thomas, who has overall responsibility for all Safeguarding matters at LYC.

Head of Safeguarding & Pastoral Care

Alison started her nursing career at age 18 at St. George’s Hospital in London. She has experience in many different specialities but when  her two daughters were young she became a school nurse  at a boys prep school in Surrey. The boys’ wellbeing took front and centre of her work and she was a member of both the pastoral and safeguarding teams.  She is delighted to have found LYC and to be able to bring her commitment to young people’s well being to the LYC family.
