On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, there will be a series of major commemorations and events across the UK and in France. Additional guest artists at the event will include Johnny Flynn and Sir Tom Jones.
Artistic Director Rachel Staunton said:
“It is an honour and privilege for LYC to participate in such an important commemoration. At LYC we believe in the power of choral music to enhance lives, and on this special occasion our hope is that the beauty and poignancy of these young voices will do just that.”
Executive Director Nina Camilleri said:
“To pay tribute to the brave people who fought for our freedom on D-Day is a profound privilege. We are deeply humbled to play a part in this momentous occasion as we commemorate the great sacrifices of those who gave their lives in the service of our country.
