Free CPD Training for school teachers!
London Youth Choirs (LYC) would like to invite you to a FREE, FUN & FRIENDLY training session covering:
- The multiple benefits to students of singing: for their health and wellbeing and educational attainment
- How to set up a school choir and maintain student interest and numbers
- How to build your confidence as a singing leader at your school
Both primary and secondary school teachers are welcome. No experience of choir or workshop leading is necessary.
LYC has been a leader in choral singing in London for 12 years with over 500 members from nearly every borough in the capital enrolled this year in our 10 choirs, from year 3 up to age 23!
This event is run by London Youth Choirs in partnership with THAMES (Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Service).

This session is part of the Positive Change Choir project in Tower Hamlets, working with pupils in years 7-9 at 5 secondary schools where LYC is helping teachers to build new school choirs.
GABRIELLE CHUDI
LYC Schools & Communities Workshop Leader
Gabrielle is a singer/songwriter and vocal leader. Since completing music leadership training with Ark Schools, Gabrielle has worked with young singers in various contexts including, Ark Schools (Mentor and Artist), Newham Music (Vocal Leader), Spitalfields Music (Vocal Workshop Leader), Pegasus Opera (School Workshop Assistant), and Living Song (Young Artist). Gabrielle also joined the team at National Youth Choirs as a trainee to arrange and conduct a piece for the Training Choir.
