why you should join the Young leaders collective – from members of the 2023/24 cohort!

We asked members of the 2023/24 YLC cohort a couple of questions about their experience throughout the 2023/24 year. One of the questions asked was “Can you tell us any advice you would give to a member considering joining YLC?”.

So, before you apply, we thought we’d share some of that advice:

It is a really great opportunity to learn more about the music/creative industry and learn invaluable skills that are useful in any career you go into. Sign up regardless of the what ifs or buts. We are a lovely bunch of people and this program will help you get over any insecurities you may have related to it | YLC 2023/24 Member

 

 

Don’t worry about the group and feeling not listened to. It’s a conversation not a debate | YLC 2023/24 Member

 

 

Make sure you work out travel before joining! It can be a bit of a rush and meetings are so much better with more people! | YLC 2023/24 Member

 

 

Be proactive, an active listener and an active speaker. If you hear an idea that you like or have an idea in your head, say it out loud because it’s up to you whether it becomes something bigger or fades away | YLC 2023/24 Member
