Work Experience at LYC

LYC does not currently offer official work experience placements or internships. We do occasionally offer placements to students who are required to complete such experience as part of a degree or other academic course.

Assistant Leaders

With the continued growth of our Junior and Cambiata choirs, we are aiming to recruit extra Assistant Leaders to support our Conductors and other staff at regular weekly rehearsals, as well as at concerts and events across London. We are recruiting Assistant Leaders for the following choirs, as well as our Deputy List:

LYC Cambiata Girls
LYC South West
LYC West
LYC North East
LYC South East

KEY DATES

Deadline for applications: 10am, Tuesday 14th May

Auditions will take place in the weeks commencing Monday 3rd and Monday 10th June.

Start date: All roles commence on Monday 9th September with a full freelance team training evening. Regular rehearsals begin in the week of Monday 16th September.

Pianists (Deputy List)

LYC is looking for experienced Pianists with a passion for working with young people in a choral setting to join our freelance deputy list for the 24-25 academic year.

We regularly call upon our deputies, whether to cover staff absence or illness, play for extra rehearsals or sectionals, or work with us at concerts and events across London.

Applicants are welcome to indicate which choirs they are available to deputise for. You can find out more about each choir on the LYC Choirs page and in the job pack for this role.
