BBC One: D-Day 80

LYC Chamber Choir took part in the D-Day 80 Commemorations at the British Normandy Memorial in Ver-Sur-Mer. They performed a specially commissioned piece by Andrew Lloyd Webber, ‘Lovingly Remembered’, alongside the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and soloist Naomi Kimpenu. Choir & Organ Magazine told the story of how the London 2012 Olympics inspired the founding of LYC, and all that has happened since, culminating in a 10th anniversary concert at the Royal Albert Hall in May 2023.
